Ott Family YMCA Skate Park

"The Best in Southern Arizona"


The Ott Family YMCA features an outdoor 15,000 square foot concrete skate park. Rated as one of the best skate park in the West by Concrete Wave Magazine, the park features a street course with a  fun box, rails, grind benches and a 6 foot double spine. The park also has a clover combination bowl consisting of three bowls of 6 feet, 8 feet and the largest clover being 12 feet deep. It offers vert and street course challenges for in-line skaters and skateboarders of all ages and abilities.

The park is open Monday - Friday from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. On Saturday it's open from 1:00pm to 9:00pm and 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday. A helmet, elbow pads and knee pads are required for all skaters at all times. All adult participants must sign a liability waiver before using the park. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/legal guardian sign their liability waiver.

Fees
Use of the skate park is free for YMCA members.   Non-members can purchase a day pass for $8.50 (under 18) or $10 (18 & over).  A day pass allows entrance to the skate park and all YMCA facilities.  A monthly pass is available for $20.00 and is good for 30 days from the date of purchase.  Monthly passes are for skate park use only and do not include the use of other YMCA facilities.

Adult Only Sessions
Skaters must be members or purchase a Skate Park Monthly Pass and participants must be 18 or older. Full pads are required with helmet. Skaters under the age of 18 are permitted only when accompanied by an adult skater. Adult skate has an acting attendant. Sessions are held on Sundays from 9am - 12noon.

Skateboarding Lessons
For boys and girls ages 6 and up, this class includes lessons on the basics of safety, board maintenance, basic moves and skills, and the YMCA character values. No previous skate experience is needed to take the class. Classes are held from 8:30am - 10am on Saturday mornings, and cost $35 for Facility Members or $55 for Program Members. Spaces are limited to the first 40 participants registered.

Summer Skate Camp
For boys and girls ages 8-15, this camp includes lessons on the basics of safety, board maintenance, basic moves and skills, and the YMCA character values. Student must provide equipment (board, helmet, elbow and knee pads). Campers will be swimming everyday, so be sure to send your camper with a swim suit, towel and sunscreen.

There is a new student parent’s meeting the Sunday before the camp starts at 1pm at the YMCA. Instructors will be there to answer questions you may have and let you know what you can expect in this camp. Camp hours are 7:30am - 11am, and we offer camp the weeks of June 14th to June 18th, July 5th to July 9th and August 2nd to August 6th. Fee to participate is $40 per week for Facility Members and $65 per week for Program Members. Register online!
