Summer Day Camps
Summer camp at the YMCA provides a safe and fun environment for your child to enjoy their summer break! We have both full and part day programs for 5-15 year olds (5 year olds must have kindergarten experience) at the YMCA as well as several schools on the east side and in the Vail/Rita Ranch area.
Summer camps will have weekly themes, swimming, arts & craft, guest speakers and occasional field trips. Staff will work closely with your child in a 1:12 child to counselor ratio that ensures your child’s safety and enjoyment throughout each day.
Full Day Summer Camps
These camps are the perfect opportunity to provide a safe and fun environment for your child to enjoy their summer break. Fun filled days include weekly themes, field trips, swimming, arts & crafts, guest speakers, sports, skate park and more. Camps are DES licensed. All campers must have kindergarten experience, and camps run from 7:00am to 6:00pm daily, and is $105 per week to participate.

*Our camps at Dietz and Erickson Elementary end on July 31st and school does not resume until August 16th. If you need camp for the last two weeks of summer, please also register for Fun in the Sun which runs from 7:00am - 6:00pm at the Ott Family YMCA from August 2nd through August 13th. Regular weekly rate is $105, and spaces are limited so register early!
**Due to construction at the Ott Family YMCA, Jr. Discovery Camp will start at Erickson Elementary. We estimate that by the end of June our facility renovations will be complete and this camp will be moved back to the YMCA.
Fun Club
Fun Club is a fun filled recreational drop in program for 5-11 year olds which includes swimming every afternoon. This is a great camp for parents who do not need a full day program and for kids who need some extra summer fun! Fee is for 5 daily coupons that can be used for any five days of camp that you choose. Children must have kindergarten experience to participate. Camp runs from June 1st though August 13th at the Ott Family YMCA, and is held Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm. Fee to participate is $75 for 5 daily coupons.
Teen Adventure Camp
This is a value based summer program for 12-14 year olds that includes field trips, team building, sports, skate park, swimming, community service projects and much more. This camp runs June 7th to July 30th, from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Ott Family YMCA. For a fee of $100, campers may spend the week of July 12th - July 16th at the Triangle Y Ranch Camp. (Must have attended one week prior.) Since all staff will be accompanying campers, there will be no camp at the YMCA this week. Fee to participate is $80 per week.
After School Program
Character development is at the heart of all YMCA programming. We believe and teach four character values in all that we do: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our staff has developed age appropriate activities that are play-orientated. We promote physical, social, emotional and cognitive development to help reinforce a foundation of lifelong learning. Whether it’s building a fort, playing soccer, doing arts and crafts or finishing their homework, a day at YMCA After School offers each child a well-rounded selection of activities.
The Arizona Department of Health Services licenses each of our After School Sites. Child care staff have background checks done
by the Arizona Department of Public Safety, are first aid and CPR certified and receive 12 hours of training yearly.
Our programs are offered at various locations: Erickson, Dietz, Wheeler, Henry, Desert Willow, Cottonwood, Sycamore, Ocotillo Ridge and Academy of Tucson Elementary Schools. After school care is available until 6:00 p.m. daily for $58 per week. Each participant must have a current YMCA Program Membership, a completed registration packet and a copy of their immunization record on file.
Before school programming is available if your child attends Wheeler Elementary, beginning at 7 a.m. The fee for before school is $28 per week, and if your child attends both before and after school at Wheeler the fee is $66 per week. All before and after school care programs offer a multi child discount of $5 per week, per child and are DES licensed.

Y Kids Adventure Days
When school is closed in either the Tucson Unified or Vail School District, a full day recreational program is available at the Ott Family YMCA (K through 5th grade), Old Vail Middle School (K through 8th grade) and Desert Willow Elementary (K through 5th grade) from 7am - 6pm. The Ott YMCA Adventure Days include arts and crafts, nutrition, sports, swimming, and field trips. Adult to child ratio is 1:15.
Registration begins two weeks prior to the school holiday, and spaces are limited so sign up early. DES licensed. Fee is $21 per day, per child.

Lil' Otters Preschool at the Ott Family YMCA
Our preschool offers year round learning and fun for 3 to 5 year olds. Activities include reading and math readiness, circle time, arts & crafts, music and daily swimming in the summer. Adult to child ratios are kept small to ensure maximum teacher to student interaction, and the program is DES licensed. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Ott Preschool at Henry Elementary School
Our preschool at Henry Elementary School offers learning and fun for 3 to 5 year olds. This academic enrichment program includes reading and number readiness, circle time, arts and crafts, music, science fun, quiet time and outdoor play. DES licensed. Preschool begins at 7:30am each day and you may choose to have your child attend until 2:30pm or 6:00pm. This preschool runs only during the TUSD school year, August - May.

Red Cross Babysitter Training
This American Red Cross babysitter's training course is designed to provide youth ages 11-14 with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or gurdians. This training helps participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism, basic care, safety, safe play and first aid. Students will learn how to help in a choking emergency and to give rescue breaths until trained medical personnel arrive. The training fees are $36 for facility members and $46 for non-members.
We also offer a Babysitting Boot Camp in the summer from 10:00am to 3:00pm. This is a great opportunity to learn all the important skills of babysitting in a fun environment. Camp is held from June 7th to June 11th, and is $56 for Facility Members or $66 for Program Members.
Parent’s Night Out
Here’s your chance to enjoy a night out with family and friends… relax knowing your children are safe and having fun at the Ott Family YMCA. Activities will include pizza, movie, arts and crafts and outdoor play. Ages 3-12. Cost is $10 first child, $8 each additional child, or $20 for 3 or more children. $3 add on if registration is received after deadline.
Time: 5pm - 8pm for all dates.
