Group Exercise
There's nothing like great music, a great instructor and an even greater group of people to get you motivated and make exercising fun! The YMCA offers a wide variety of classes from beginning to advanced, old school to new age, soothing to energizing. Our staff would be happy to help you select a program that meets your needs, your schedule and your mood. Even better, group exercise programs are available for free or for a reduced cost for all YMCA members! Description of classes:

GROUP CYCLING:
Exciting indoor cycling program that incorporates the science of cycling with motivational techniques for effective aerobic and anaerobic training. Safe and effective. For the beginner or advanced exerciser. Workout clothes, towel, and water bottle. Seat gel pack or appropriate riding shorts recommended.
CARDIO-COMBO:
This class will take you to a new level of fitness! Challenges your body's stamina, strength, and cardio respiratory system. Intermediate to advanced levels of fitness.
INTERVAL TRAINING:
A high intensity workout that includes both cardiovascular and resistive training. All fitness levels welcome. 4 minutes of resistance and 4 minutes of cardiovascular exercise intervals that is sure to get your heart pumping and your body strong! Class includes warm-up and warm down segments.
SilverSneakers & YMCA:
Level I group exercise class focuses on Muscular Strength and Range of Movement,
Level II group exercise class focuses on adding more of the cardio respiratory component for the more advanced participant. Available to all YMCA members and those enrolled in the SilverSneakers Fitness Program.
STRETCH & TONE:
Class format using various exercises focused on toning all major muscles groups. Stretching component to aid in enhanced flexibility.
STEP AEROBICS:
A variation to your workout. Step classes utilize 4, 6, or 8-inch "steps". All levels of fitness capable of having a fun and energetic workout. Classes may vary in length of time. Please check schedule.
WATER AEROBICS
We offer adult water aerobics six days a week. Classes are offered at 9 and 10 a.m. We have both deep and shallow water classes. These classes are free to our members. Sign in at the pool cashier window before class starts.
CARDIO BOOT CAMP:
Combination of innovative movements, incorporating resistance, strength, intensity, stability and stretching. Intermediate to advanced level.
PILATES MAT CLASS:
Pilate's is a method of body conditioning designed to stretch and strengthen the body through a series of unique exercises developed by Joseph H. Pilate's over 90 years ago. Benefits are strengthening and toning muscles, improving posture, flexibility and balance. Uniting mind and body. Creating a more streamlined shape.
LOW IMPACT CARDIO PUMP:
Toning and re-shaping muscles using various resistance tools. Focus is on body composition, enhancing strength and flexibility. Cardio component added to kick up the burn! Relaxation stretch finishes off this session. For all levels of fitness.
ULTIMATE TONE:
This is a non-impact class that incorporates weights, bands, balls and steps to increase muscle tone, strength and endurance. Class includes 15 minutes of pre-workout warm-up exercises.
PIYO-STRENGTH THROUGH LENGTH:
A practical approach to Pilates and Yoga recognizing that individual anatomy and skill level will ultimately determine success and long-term results. Strengthening and controlling your extremities when you lengthen in opposition to your center maintain stabilization. Exercises are selected and balanced through strategic variations (pose angles and application of force) with each specific movement.
12-WEEK PERSONAL FITNESS:
Personalized program. One on one approach to help facilitate self-empowerment. A structured step-by-step lifestyle behavior change program. A focus on how wellness makes one feel instead of the "Ideal Look". Interactive exercise equipment with computer program management.
HIP HOP CLASS:
For ages 10-16 yrs. Includes choreography with street jazz, pop n'lock, and urban style dancing. This high-energy class includes warm-ups, combinations, and dance routines.
TEEN JUMP ROPE CLASS:
For ages 12-16 yrs. Jump roping is a popular activity amongst young people. The class will feature a variety of skill levels, ranging from novice to experience. All are encouraged to participate. Jump roping develops cardiovascular and muscular endurance along with agility, coordination and muscular strength. This class will build great balance and timing in all participants.
