Northwest YMCA Teen Programs
The Northwest YMCA is proud to offer a variety of new and exciting programs to youth and teens ages 12-18. The YMCA Teen and Family program offers educational, social, leadership, and physical activity programs to youth and teens in effort to promote healthy lifestyles and well-being. From Teen Nights and field trips to Rock Band and Gladiator, the YMCA offers safe and fun programs designed to meet the interests of teens in the Northwest Tucson community.

- All participants should meet at the Northwest YMCA 30 minutes prior to the activity time so that field trips may begin promptly.
- Registration is limited to the first 13 teens.
- *A $15.00 program membership must be purchased prior to participation for all participants who are not YMCA facility members.
Teen Programs - Fall 2008
Teen Nights
Come out for an evening of fun and excitement in this prorgram designed by teens. Monthly Teen Nights provide a safe night at the Northwest YMCA for teens, grades 6-9. Experience live music and dancing, games, YMCA Gladiator, Guitar Hero or Rock Band on the Nintendo Wii, friends, fun and more! Food and drinks are provided at every Teen Night. $2.00 for YMCA members, $4.00 for non-members.

YLeaders
YLeaders is a program for teenagers who want to commit to being a voice for their generation. YLeaders help create fun and interactive opportunities for other teens and desire to make a difference in their community and beyond. YLeaders is open to all teens, grades 7-12. Participation is free to YMCA members. Non-members must purchase a $15.00 program membership to participate.

Teen Hip-Hop
Youth and Teens ages 10-18 may participate in a Hip-Hop class every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:15-5:30pm in the Northwest YMCA Community Room. The class costs $30 for members and $35 for non-members* (non-members pay an additional annual $15.00 program fee). Using the many different forms of Hip-hop to let teens express themselves through dance, such as: URBAN, STREET, POP N'LOCK, FUNK AND LATIN. All classes begin with a short warm-up followed by various techniques and conditioning exercises. Each week the students learn a new dance , with new music that they will perform at the end of the session. Fall program dates: September 4 - October 23.

YMCA Dodgeball Wednesdays
Play Dodgeball every Wednesday in the Northwest YMCA Gymnasium.
Free for YMCA members, $3.50 for non-members. Open to youth and teens, ages 8 and up.
YMCA Rock Band Fridays
Play RockBand on the Nintendo Wii every Friday in the Northwest YMCA Community Room.
Free for YMCA members, $3.50 for non-members. Open to all teens, grades 6-12.
YMCA Gladiator Fridays
YMCA Gladiator is from 3:30-5:30 pm every Friday in the Northwest YMCA gym.
Members: free Nonmembers: $3.50 per day. Open to all youth and teens, grades 5-10.
