The Northwest YMCA offers a wide variety of Aquatic Programs in the Thad Terry Aquatic Center, which features two outdoor pools. One is a six-lane 25-yard lap competition pool and the other is a zero-depth family recreation pool that features a water slide. For pool schedules, please visit pool calendars.  We offer a variety of aquatic activities including parent & child lessons, preschool lessons, youth swim lessons, private lessons for families and individuals, lifeguard/WSIand more.

Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Training 
Interested in teaching swim lessons or lifeguarding or both? We offer the training you need to be certified as a lifeguard or swim instructor. These certifications will deem you eligible to apply for employment at any facility in the country! Contact the pool at 229-9006 for more information. (Prerequisites: Age 15+ for LG and age 16+ for WSI. Must demonstrate swimming skills for admission to either course).

Water Fitness
We offer adult water aerobics five days a week. Classes are offered at 9 and 10 a.m. We have both deep and shallow water classes. These classes are free to our members. Sign in at the pool cashier window before class starts.  

• Shallow Water      9am     Tuesday & Thursday
• Deep Water       10am     Monday, Wednesday & Saturday

Private Swim Lessons (1/2 hour lessons)

Lessons are available individually or in packages as listed. Packages may not be split, but must be purchased as a whole, at one time, to receive discount.
