Fun Factory
The Lighthouse/City YMCA offers licensed school aged childcare for children ages 5-12 at three locations: Duffy and Fruchthendler Elementary schools and at the Lighthouse/City YMCA branch. Our after school enrichment program offers children a variety of activities to keep minds and bodies active. Children will enjoy age-appropriate group games, learning centers, arts and crafts, physical education, homework centers and free time to play with other children.
We use a play oriented approach that promotes physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of each child to help reinforce a foundation of lifelong learning.
The YMCA before and after school program is regulated by the Arizona Department of Health Services. For information on licensing rules and regulations you can contact ADHS at 628-6540 or visit their website at www.azdhs.gov
Registrations for the before and after school program is ongoing beginning July 23,2008. All parents must complete a registration packet, provide a copy of their child's immunizations from a health care provider or a signed waiver, and have a valid program membership. The first day for TUSD is Tuesday, August 14. There will be no childcare on Monday, August 11, 2008.

Each after school site is open from school dismissal until 6:00 pm. The before school programs are open from 6:30 am until school begins. Children attending the Lighthouse/City before school program will be transported to their school.
Fees
All of our rates are weekly, we do not offer daily or part time care. Payments are due Friday PRIOR to the child attending on Mondayof each week the child is registered to attend. The child will not be able to attend until payment is made. Payments are considered late after 6:00 pm on Monday and a late fee of $10 will be incurred. All children must be facility members or have a current program membership. Program memberships are $15 and are valid for one year.

Financial Assistance
Thanks to local companies and generous individuals the YMCA is able to offer financial assistance to families who qualify. A completed financial aid form along with the necessary documentation is required in order to be considered. Assistance is limited, apply early. We accept DES from those who have qualified. Parents receiving subsisies will be responsible for paying their weekly co-pay each Friday PRIOR to the child attending the following week. The child will not be able to attend until payment is made. If payment is not made before 6:00 pm on Monday a late fee of $10 will be incurred.
Transportation
Transportation to and from the following schools is provided to our Lighthouse site. It is the responsibility of the parent to notify the YMCA no later than 12:30 pm if the child is absent and will not be riding the van to attend the afternoon program. Failure to do so will result in a $5.00 charge added to the bill.

Early Dismissal
During the school year TUSD will have Parent/Teacher conferences and schools will dismiss three hours early. Care will be provided on these days at no extra charge.
Holiday Closures
The Lighthouse/City YMCA will not be providing child care on Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Additional dates may apply. For a full list of all closures please contact us.
Full Day Camps
The Lighthouse/City YMCA will provide full day care when TUSD is closed. Please note that parents must pre-register for each day. Parents who have pre-registered will pay $21 per day for full day camps. Registrations taken the day of camp (if space is available) will be charged $25 per day.
